PWOAH.

Got home around 7-ish today after a full day photo shoot for a John Master Raya Ad Campaign.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! :D

I was given the task of coming up with concepts for the John Master Raya Ad Campaign this year. So after Boss and Lady Boss proposed the ideas to John Master and they choose one of the concepts (yay!), Lady Boss and I had to hurry and contact the photographer, make up artist, talents and scout for a location to shoot. (all within a span of a few days - very stress k. lol.)

Today was seriously fun and such a great experience. (Thank you Boss!) It was really really really tiring though cos we started around 10am and had to wrap things up by 6pm. Had an awesome lunch with the team and we even took a group photo after the whole thing. hehe. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Managed to get to know the two gorgeous male talents (*swoon swoon*), the awesome team from John Master, the photographer Mr Patrick from Midas Touch and his team, and the really really friendly make up artist Michelle Tan. :) (Thank you Aliza and Aliza's sister for Michelle's contact!)

Can't post any photos up though...hehe...not until the ad campaign is launched. :) So look out for it yah! :D John Master's range of Baju Melayu seriously nice k. I thought the guys looked really good in them. Even their casual wear was really nice!

Fuh. Kla. Dead tired dy. Haha. Gonna go pengsan now otherwise I don't know if I can wake up for work tomorrow. xD

Exam results for last sem came out yesterday.

THANK GOD I PASSED ALL MY SUBJECTS.

I honestly felt that last sem was by far my worst sem in MMU.

And I must say it is only by God's grace that I managed to pass.

AND

The most amazing thing is, my GPA and CGPA went up.

So not only did I pass, but I did better this time.
I seriously was expecting to get Bs this time round.
Or even failing a subject or two.
But truly, I must say this is God's work.

That even though my computer crashed and had to be reformatted a gazillion times.
That I was facing problems after problems and stress after stress.
That I even reached a point where I just could not take it and just broke down.
Somehow, someway, God carried me through. THANK YOU. T_T
I truly stand in awe at how God works in my life. :)

So woohoo!

FUH.

First week of internship and I'm pretty much exhausted already. Haha.

First day itself I was already given quite a bit of work. Designing a namecard, helping with some designs for 3M Post-it posters and stuff. And some misc other design jobs.

I'm doing my internship at Identity Design & Advertising. There's another guy from (Ah Wong) interning there as well but he's been there for 2 months already and will be leaving in a month's time. There are 3 other designers who are also all guys('Cookie', Kyan and William). Initially it was kinda scary but the guys were all really really friendly and within a few days we all got along really well. One of the fun parts is going lunch together-gether. I guess it's also because we're all around the same age, the oldest guy is 25. :D Then there's my boss Mr. Jay, his wife Ms. Lynn and the accounts manager Ms Christine. (not too sure of how to spell their names. haha.)

It gets really busy in the office when there's a deadline to meet and all of us designers will sama-sama tension in the office. Stress k. Fuh. But everyone is really nice and we help each other out a lot. :D
We masuk office around 9am ish and leave around 7 to 8pm. But the guys usually leave around 9pm and sometimes 10pm. O_O So yeah, I'm usually drained by the time I'm back home and I sleep as early as I can. hahaha. No more late nights for me. :P

In the office itself there's a printing room where they print banners, posters, do mock-ups etc etc. So far I've only done one packaging mock-up. And I usually just print A4 size stuff to show my boss.

I'm learning quite a lot too, my colleagues are pros in Adobe Illustrator so I consult them a lot when I'm not sure. And my boss would teach me design related stuff. There's also a book rack with reference books that we can refer to when we need some ideas. It's darn cold in the office so I'm always bundled up in my jacket. hehe. And we usually turn on the radio during office hours so it helps ease the stress. haha.

OWH, before I forget, William has his own line of clothes for guys called Banana Mutant. Here's the link: BananaMutant. He designs the clothes and it's really high quality stuff. He brought some to the office cos he was meeting up with a customer during lunchtime so we managed to check out the clothes. :D I heard him say his girlfriend (who is a designer as well) is coming up with her line of clothes for girls. Can't wait to check it out. :3
